The distinction matters. A beacon gives direction without pretending uncertainty has disappeared. Paving the way is the responsibility to turn learning into something useful. The signature names the standard and the person who should remain in view.
The public site also gives the seven Guiding Principles a fixed order and gives each project a truthful place within the wider Wayfinder Systems story. The result is not a claim that the work is finished. It is a clearer foundation for carrying the work forward.
